More Casual choices:

If it's a Las Vegas thing - then the answer is Lotus of Siam. Some say the best Thai restaurant in the country. It is absolutely fantastic and a must-do for any hounder in Vegas at some point.

Burger Bar?

Payard Patisserie-the best place hands down at CP. Those desserts and chocolates are the best!

If you're looking for great off strip restaurants, I'd say head to Chinatown (aka Asiatown). Raku, Ichiza, Tofu Hut, Pho Kim Long, and China Mama

Philly CheeseSteak - http://www.lasvegasweekly.com/news/2009/aug/20/food-fight-cheesesteak/

absolutely BEST romantic mod price great food; reserve a balcony table and watch fountain show with music; favorites butternut squash tortelli and tuna or beef carpaccio;
Olives at Bellagio
P.S. I enjoy Cafe Ba Ba Reba, but it is in the Fashion Show Mall, so even if temp. is under 100 and you can sit outside, view is streets/traffic; fun and good sangria/food

other romantice/mod choices;
Stack; 3 course $30; other menu, love the hot rocks beef, kobe burger and adult tater tots

Phantom of the Opera at the Venetian Hotel

Lion Habitat at MGM Grand
Take a picture of a lion or have your picture taken with a baby lion. Large windows look into the lion habitat and you get pretty close to these large cats.

White Tigers at the Mirage
See some white lions sleep, swim and play at the Mirage Hotel. The crowds still get large in front of the White Tiger Habitat at the Mirage hotel but if you’re patient you’ll get your chance to watch a couple lions sleep.

Shark tank at the Mirage
It’s free but it’s like watching a fish tank at your doctor’s office. If you’re into fish, you can check out the large aquarium at the Forum Shops and the one in the lobby at the Mandalay Bay as well
